The Monocoque body reduces potential ingress points for water and debris into the gearbox, making it IPX rated. The TD SOL MQs body is made from Daiwas new ZAION V material, a high rigidity carbon composite material that can withstand the harsh destructive elements of saltwater fishing.

The TD SOL MQs rotor and bail design incorporate a ZAION Air Rotor and seamless one-piece Airbail construction usually reserved for reels like EXIST and CERTATE.
